Farmer Keeps his Driving Licence

Farmer Keeps his Driving Licence

We are pleased to confirm that we represented a farmer in North Wales to retain his driving licence to help him to keep working.

Our client appeared at Court for driving whilst using a mobile phone to which he had no choice but to plead guilty.

Unfortunately that put him the position where he faced disqualification from driving under the penalty points "totting up" rules.

This is where you reach 12 penalty points and you can then be disqualified from driving for a minimum of six months as a result.

As a farmer he was always extremely busy running his business and attending to all sorts of farming duties at all hours of the day and night so a disqualification would mean he could not work.

He drives over 35,000 miles per year.

We were able to persuade the Magistrates not to ban him from driving and allow him to keep his licence.
